Gateway for Aspiring Biomedical Scientists
Biomedical scientists carry out multidisciplinary research to learn about the functioning of molecules and cells and organisms. These new discoveries are then applied to the prevention and treatment of human diseases.

The Program in Biomedical Sciences (PIBS) admits students for our PhD programs in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, Human Genetics & Genomics, Microbiology & Immunology, Molecular Cell & Developmental Biology, Molecular & Cellular Pharmacology, Neuroscience, and Physiology & Biophysics.

An online application through CollegeNET must be filled out for all graduate programs at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, including PhD and Masters programs in Epidemiology and Public Health and the Masterís of Science in Biostatistics.

The CollegeNET Help Desk is available 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. PST They can be reached via email at help@applyweb.com . Please allow 24 hours for a response. When contacting the Help Desk please include the following information:

For review purposes scanned copies of transcripts and midyear grades are acceptable and can be emailed to ogs@med.miami.edu.Please mail official transcripts to the Office of Graduate Studies.
