Bachelor of General Studies, University of Miami
Where are you from?
I was born in Cuba but raised in Miami, Florida.
What brought you to the University of Miami?
Since 1982, I have been honored to be a part of the Miller School of Medicine family. While most of my greatest lifetime events have taken place during my tenure here, I have seen the school evolve into an internationally acclaim institution for research, clinical care and biomedical innovations. My collaborations with medical and graduate students have been most rewarding. I have always admired their commitment to the scientific profession and have been fortunate to witness their growth from worried first year students, to hard-working fellows / post-doctoral associates, to distinguished faculty and leading physician scientists.
